The College of Innovative Business and Accountancy (CIBA) of Dhurakij Pundit University recently opened nine curricula to develop professionals in nine digital-business lines.

The project aims to prepare students for future demand in the labour market, focusing on practical teaching and a learning-by-doing approach as well as developing entrepreneurial thinking.
Business gurus will share their in-depth experiences and knowledge with students. A start-up classroom will be opened based on a blending of the concepts of “maker spaces” and co-working space to motivate students to come up with creative ideas on starting their own business, and how to make them succeed long-term.
CIBA dean Dr Puttanan Petchcherdchu said the institution focused on producing quality students to respond to demand in the digital business world. No matter which faculty or which branch of study they are in, students can apply and adapt their knowledge to real business professionally on the basis of the needs of the country.
For the 2017 academic year, CIBA has established nine curricula to cater to the demands of the digital era. The nine subject lines are digital accounting, digital marketing, digital entrepreneurship, financial technology, modern logistics and supply chains, international business, human resources, economics, and international programmes.
“CIBA is quite confident that the launch of nine digital-era courses will be highly recognised by those who are interested in digital business fields, as CIBA has highly qualified professors and expert staff who will teach both learning skills and business practice,” Patatan said.
“These include entrepreneurial thinking based on real experiences of business professionals who will provide their knowledge and advice to ensure that CIBA students will be able to apply their knowledge to their real business life and succeed even before they have completed their studies.
“In the past, there were a number of CIBA students who were successful in doing business while they were in the second or third year.”
CIBA also aims to produce graduates in various fields and disciplines to enter start-up businesses. They will focus on the creation of real and practical start-ups by gaining real experience from a lessons-learned approach called the Capstone Project, instead of from traditional lectures.
CIBA says it wants to make sure that all of its graduates are knowledgeable and have expertise in doing business in every dimension and can expand into other business in the future.
