Samsung upbeat on smart signage

THAI SAMSUNG Electronics expects its digital smart signage business to grow by 30 per cent this year. Meanwhile, this segment will have total value of Bt2.5 billion in Thailand.

Boonlerd Viboonkiat, vice president for enterprise business at Thai Samsung Electronics, said the company this year would offer more than 100 smart digital signage devices. 
Samsung will set up 10 dealer service centres nationwide this year, four of which have been established this quarter. 
It is distributing its digital smart signage products via more than 100 dealers nationwide.
He said the company this year expected revenue growth of around 30 per cent from its digital smart signage products. The retail, banking, government and education segments are the main client targets. Digital transformation, price and performance are factors expected to drive this business growth. 
Globally, the digital smart signage industry is expected to be valued at around US$15.4 billion (Bt535 billion) by next year. The factors driving the industry’s growth are increasing advanced technologies, which have encouraged the use of smart displays, and the growth of the overall business sector affected by the digital transformation and adopting smart signage.
