Seven Thai companies are most favourably regarded among investors for their efforts towards excellence and business sustainability.

Enlisted in the poll of Alpha Southeast Asia are PTT Plc, industrial giant Siam Cement Group, fast growing beverage giant Thai Beverage, telecom provider Total Access Communication, energy giant Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding, Thai Oil as well as globally renowned national airline Thai Airways International.
The second annual poll, to find Southeast Asia's top companies, is based on tallied votes among 460 investors, pension funds, hedge funds, equity and fixed income brokers and analysts with investment interests in the Southeast Asia region. Companies in each country were ranked on their financial management, adherence to corporate governance, CSR and investor relations' strategy, transparency and disclosure. Alpha Southeast Asia is an institutional investment magazine focused on Southeast Asia's banking and capital markets, written for professional investors and corporates.
Siam Cement Group's CFO, Chaovalit Ekabut was venerated as the Best CFO in Thailand.
Across the region, the award for Best CFO in Southeast Asia went to Jeann Low, CFO at SingTel. The award for the Best Annual Report in Southeast Asia went to Keppel Corp while the award for the Strongest Commitment to Sustainable Energy in Southeast Asia went to Thai Oil.
A key distinguishing feature of the poll is that it not only names investor favourites, but adventurously publishes names of companies that are perceived to have "Poor Management Access & IR" by this same group of investors. In Thailand, Central Group, Padaeng Industry and Quality Houses were noted for their poor and unpredictable investor relations' strategy.
Here are details of awards to Thai companies:
Most organised investor relations (IR): PTT, SCG, Thai Beverage
Best Senior Management IR Support: Total Access Communication, Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding, PTT
Strongest Adherence to Corporate Governance: PTT, SCG, Thai Oil
