Thanachart Bank is putting up a Bt5 billion loan facility to help SMEs and waiving them from principal repayment in the first year of borrowing.
Maximum loan is Bt20 million.
In a statement released today, the bank said that it will also offer a 90-day holiday on hire-purchase loan repayments and extends the tenor by 12 months maximum.
Principal repayment holiday upto 12 months is also extended to mortgage borrowers.
"What concerns us the most is the wellbeing of clients. Our staff has been assigned to closely monitor and extend the best assistance to the clients. I believe that our measures would address their problems and should help them in recoverying business after this," said TBank President and CEO Somjate Moosirilert.
