3BB, in collaboration with AIS, levels up home internet services to deliver full-ranged digital services and to boost Thailand’s digital economy

Subhoj Sunyabhisithkul, Managing Director of Triple T Broadband Public Company Limited or 3BB, stated, “The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has approved the acquisition of all shares of Triple T Broadband or 3BB (TTTBB) by Advanced Wireless Network (AWN) for it to become a subsidiary company of AIS. Additionally, AIS will partially acquire the investment unit in the Jasmine Internet Infrastructure Fund or JASIF, the entity responsible for leasing internet networks to 3BB. This transaction took place on  10th November 2023. Legal proceedings will now follow. The services provided by 3BB to existing customers will remain unchanged. Both AIS and 3BB will collaborate and leverage each other’s strengths to provide customers with an enhanced service experience. This includes network technology, service area expansion, post-sales service, digital content, innovation, and more. A variety of enhanced and more convenient services will be gradually delivered starting from today.”

“3BB’s integration into AIS, Thailand’s leading mobile telecommunications and digital service provider, will not only benefit customers but will also promote the Infrastructure Sharing approach according to NBTC’s policy. This fosters knowledge exchange for the development of the Fixed Broadband or home internet industry. For instance, 3BB’s expertise in developing remote internet services and AIS’s digital service and mobile phone expertise will complement each other. This synergy will drive home internet services towards becoming a smart digital infrastructure that can benefit the entire population, and businesses across all industries, and strengthen the national economy. This will enhance the position in encountering the challenges amidst the economic fluctuations at the macroeconomic level more efficiently”, said Subhoj.
