The award, handed out every year by Enterprise Asia, covers seven categories, namely green leadership, investment in people, health promotion, social empowerment, corporate governance, circular economy leadership and responsible business leadership.
The award under the green leadership category was accepted by PTT director Auttapol Rerkpiboon. He said PTT won the award for producing and distributing natural gas from pig farms.
He added that this project has been run for more than seven years in four areas in Thailand and has benefited 794 households. The project also disposes 131,791 cubic metres of wastewater yearly and reduces greenhouse gas emission by around 10,518 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year.
